sdpa Students Place at the 2024 San Diego Concerto Competition

Congratulations to Luna Lee and Khai West, students of Chetan Tierra, and Yoyo Wu, student of Brendan Nguyen, on placing at this year's San Diego Concerto Competition, one of the most demanding local competitions for pianists.

Luna took second place in Division II, performing the first movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor. Khai took second place in Division III, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor. Yoyo took third place in Division III, performing the third movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto in A major.

All three were on the younger side of their divisions, a good sign of what's still ahead.
