JESSIE CHANG is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist and dedicated educator who has captivated audiences across the globe through her performances as a soloist with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras. She has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, Singapore Symphony, San Diego Symphony, China Philharmonic, Malaysian Philharmonic, Macao Symphony, and Rochester Philharmonic, among others, gracing renowned venues including Carnegie Hall's Isaac Stern Auditorium, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Esplanade in Singapore, and Aula Simfonia in Jakarta.

Ms. Chang has collaborated with internationally celebrated artists including Lang Lang, Bill Preucil, Augustin Hadelich, and the Formosa Quartet, as well as principals of major orchestras. She has performed under the baton of distinguished conductors such as Jahja Ling, Charles Dutoit, Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun, James Gaffigan, and Otto Werner Mueller.

She received her Bachelor of Music at age 19 and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music on full scholarships, where she studied with the renowned Constance Keene and received the Best Female Award at both commencements in 1999 and 2001. She also attended the Aspen Music Festival on full scholarship, studying with Herbert Stessin. Her musical development has been enriched through work with distinguished mentors including Oxana Yablonskaya, Emmanuel Ax, Menahem Pressler, and Bernardo Segall.

Ms. Chang's competition achievements include winning the Grand Prize at the MTAC Young Artist Guild, Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition, LA Spotlight Award, Ibla Grand Prize in Italy, and International Young Artist Piano Competition. Her students have achieved remarkable success, being accepted to top institutions including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, New England Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, and UC campuses. They have won prestigious competitions including Musical Merit Foundation, Goodlin, Glendale, MTAC State Solo & Concerto, CAMPT, and Junior Bach Festival competitions.

As a private piano instructor for over 21 years, Ms. Chang has been a member of MTAC since 2004, providing comprehensive instruction that includes repertoire, technique, theory, sight reading, and ear training. Her students consistently achieve MTAC Certificate of Merit honors with perfect theory scores, Panel Masterclass selections, and Young Artist Guild titles. She also serves as a competition adjudicator for SYMF, Musical Merit Foundation, Redlands Bowl, CAMPT, and other prestigious competitions.

Ms. Chang is deeply committed to community engagement and musical leadership. She serves as Artistic Director of the Jessie and Friends Chamber Music Series since 2010, Founder and Chair of the MTAC Chopin Festival since 2017, and Board Member of the Musical Merit Foundation since 2023. She has been featured as a TED Talk artist, demonstrating the power of music in communication and storytelling.

Her international touring includes serving as featured soloist with the San Diego Youth Symphony during their 70th Anniversary Celebration Tour to China and performing in the Martial Arts Trilogy concert with the Macao Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tan Dun, in celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Ms. Chang is also dedicated to community service, volunteering as an usher for concerts at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park and Jacobs Music Center, delivering meals through Meals on Wheels, and supporting local families through food bank volunteering. She resides in San Diego, California.
